Judy Hamilton

New Horizons is Judy Hamilton’s second solo show with the Vangard Gallery. This new body of work concentrates on the sea and shore, changing skies and tides.

Judy was born in Dublin in 1954 and has studied at the National College of Art and Design in Dublin as well as at the Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art Design and Technology. Hamilton is a landscape painter of great skill and sensitivity. Her colour pallet, although muted and naturalistic at first glance, contains flashes of vivid brilliance. This exuberant sense of colour, coupled with her exhilaratingly gestural brush work mark her out as an artist of exceptional talent.

Her paintings are in the collections of the Dun Laoghaire and Rathdown County Council, City Bank, Dublin; City Bank, London; Hewlett Packard; IBEC; the Blackrock Education Centre; the Office of Public Works and A.I.B. Bank.
