Martin Finnin was born in Limerick in 1968 and is based in Cork. His richly coloured work is fluid, expressive and deeply personal. Working in both oils and watercolours, he finds direct emotional communication through luminous effects of colour and shape. Mark Ewart writing in the Irish Times has described him as, "the most innovative and exciting artist currently in Ireland."(17th Aug, 1999)
Michael Fitzharris was born in Limerick in 1952 and has been resident in Dublin since 1978. Fitzharris is a painter of abstract landscapes of sublime uncluttered lightness. He works on unprimed board rather than canvas; usually board that he has used to clean his brushes on. This, when cleaned and scraped back rouses memories and images in the vague shapes that appear which he then works to retrieve.
